Official Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PAYMENT OR PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. PARTICIPATION CONSTITUTES ENTRANT’S FULL AND UNCONDITIONAL AGREEMENT TO THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND THE DECISIONS OF NATIONAL PORK BOARD, 1776 N.W. 114TH ST., CLIVE, IA 50325 (“SPONSOR”) WHICH ARE FINAL AND BINDING IN ALL MATTERS RELATED TO THE SWEEPSTAKES.
SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD: Entries will be accepted beginning Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 9:00:00 AM Eastern Standard Time (“EST”) through Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at 11:59:00 PM EST (“Sweepstakes Period”). Submissions outside of the Sweepstakes Period will not be considered entries into this Sweepstakes.
HOW TO ENTER: During the Sweepstakes Period, all of the following must be completed to be considered an entry:
a) follow @porkandpartners on Instagram; and
b) tag a nutrition professional (registered dietitian, diet technician, nutrition student or nutrition intern) in a post in the comments section of the giveaway Instagram post on the @porkandpartners Instagram account; and
c) in the same post, provide a fun fact about pork or your cooking experience with pork
Each separate comment meeting the requirements above will count as one (1) entry. Participants should only tag one nutrition professional per comment; comments tagging more than one nutrition professional will only count as one (1) entry. Limit ten (10) entries per person. Sponsor and Administrator may disqualify entries for any reason, including without limitation violation of these Official Rules, or posting of content that is inconsistent with the theme of this Sweepstakes or the image of Sponsor or Administrator.
ELIGIBILITY: Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any entry that contains obscene, offensive, or inappropriate content, that does not comply with these Official Rules or that is not consistent with the spirit of the Sweepstakes. All entrants must be legal residents of one of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia age 18 or older at the time of entry. Employees, directors, contractors and officers of Sponsor, their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, distributors, advertising and promotional agencies or other companies associated with the promotion of the Sweepstakes, as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, children, and their respective spouses) and household members of each such individual, are ineligible to participate. Entrants must have a valid email address and it is entrant’s responsibility to update Sponsor of any change in email address. Sponsor is not responsible for incorrect email addresses, server issues, winners moving or relocating or issues with lost or stolen mail, coupons, or delivery.
PRIZES AND WINNER SELECTION: A total of eight (8) one-year American Society for Nutrition (ASN) Memberships will be awarded via random drawing held by Sponsor. ASN standard membership terms apply. Sponsor shall not be responsible for issues relating to winners’ ASN membership following award of prize. Drawing will take place on or around April 2, 2024. Odds of winning a prize depends on the total number of eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. TOTAL PRIZE ARV: $1920. All taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility of the winners. No transfer, assignment or substitution of a prize is permitted, except that Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize for an item of equal or greater value in the event an advertised prize is unavailable. Potential winners will be notified via email and must claim their prize within five (5) days of notification or else their prize may be forfeit and an alternate winner selected. Potential winners may be required to complete and return a declaration of eligibility and waiver of liability prior to claiming a prize.
USE OF WINNER’S INFORMATION: Except where prohibited by law, entry into the Sweepstakes constitutes the participant’s consent, if selected as a winner, to the use of winner’s name, city, state of residence, and other biographical or identifying information in perpetuity for purposes of inclusion on a winner’s list, use in marketing materials, or any other purpose Sponsor deems appropriate, without further compensation or consideration to winner. Sponsor is not obligated to use any of the foregoing information.
RELEASE: Entrants release, indemnify and hold harmless Sponsor, its advertising and promotional agencies or other companies associated with the promotion and execution of the Sweepstakes from any and all liability for loss, harm, damage, injury, cost or expense whatsoever, including without limitation property damage, personal injury and/or death which may arise out of entrants’ participation in the Sweepstakes, or possession, acceptance and/or use or misuse of any prize, or participation in any Sweepstakes-related activity.
GENERAL: Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes should virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or other cause beyond the Sponsor’s control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes. In such cases, Sponsor may select a winner(s) from eligible entries received before and/or after the action taken by the Sponsor if appropriate. Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or website or violates these Official Rules. Sponsor has the right, in its sole discretion, to maintain the integrity of the Sweepstakes, to void entries for any reason, including, but not limited to: multiple entries from the same user from different IP addresses; multiple entries from the same computer in excess of that allowed by Sweepstakes rules; or the use of bots, macros, scripts, or other technical means for entering. Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes may be a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.
USE OF DATA: Any personal data collected will be used solely in accordance with Sponsor’s Privacy Statement, which is located at https://www.pork.org/privacy-policy/.
DISPUTES/GOVERNING LAW: All disputes concerning the construction, interpretation, validity, effect, and enforceability of these Official Rules will be governed by the laws of the state of Iowa without regard to conflicts of laws provisions. Entrant (i) agrees that exclusive jurisdiction over any legal action arising out of or in connection with the Sweepstakes will be in state or federal courts located in or nearest to state of Iowa and by entering consents to such jurisdiction and venue; (ii) consents to resolve any such claims individually and without resort to class action; and (iii) agrees that all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, but in no event attorney’s fees or punitive, incidental, consequential, or any damages other than actual out-of-pocket expenses.
