Exploring Pork: A Versatile Carrier for Culinary Creativity

Culinary nutrition expert Abbie Gellman, MS, RD, CDN, and National Pork Board’s director of nutrition research Kristen Hicks-Roof, PhD, RDN, LDN, CLC, FAND teamed up to deliver an educational session all about the versatility and culinary applications of lean pork.

This webinar introduces the role pork plays in various dishes worldwide, while examining how changing identity impacts food choices. Join Maya Feller MS, RD, CDN; Professor Judy Rodriguez, PhD, RD; and the National Pork Board’s José de Jesús, and Marleena Jones for a conversation about how pork can be a versatile and culturally significant part of a balanced diet.

Caregivers play a big role in shaping children’s eating behaviors, including through the choice of language about food and the variety of food offered during food experiences.  

This webinar will help caregivers, and the nutrition professionals who work with them, identify constructs of positive and negative food exposures and provide a better understanding of how to use positive, inclusive language and offerings as powerful tools during conversations about food with children.
