Ingredients

Before we get cooking, here’s everything you need. Check items off as you go — at home or in the store.

Directions

  • Preheat grill to 200-250°F.
  • Lightly spray pierogies with cooking spray and place on grill. Cover and grill for 5-6 minutes, flipping halfway through, to defrost.
  • Increase grill heat to 400-450°F. Add kielbasa and onion rings. Close lid and grill 2-3 minutes. Flip pierogis, kielbasa, and onions and cook a few more minutes; pierogies should be golden brown on each side, onions and kielbasa should be charred and kielbasa should be a minimum internal temperature of 160°F. Onion and kielbasa may take longer than pierogis.
  • Transfer grilled pierogis to a bowl and toss with teaspoon of butter if desired. Allow kielbasa and onions to cool slightly. Roughly chop onions and slice kielbasa.
  • Plate pierogis and top with grilled onions and sliced kielbasa. Finish with sour cream and scallions if desired.
