PRRS virus proteins that are immunogenic in pigs were expressed and purified. Nsp2p and nucleocapsid proteins are and will be available to PRRS researchers and can be used to detect exposure to PRRS virus, monitor immune responses, and to investigate mechanisms of immune protection against PRRS.
