Are you a young farmer who aspires to commit your life’s work to pig farming, be a leader in farming and aims to be an example of excellence by raising pigs using the We CareSM ethical principles? If yes, then we want you to apply to be one of the U.S. Pork Industry’s Pig Farmers of Tomorrow.

The Pork Checkoff has established this national award program to recognize, inspire and connect the next generation of American pig farmers. Up to three award recipients will be selected. Winners will be invited to participate in industry events and the #RealPigFarming social media program.

Requirements for submission include:

  • basic contact information
  • answering a series of pig farming questions
  • sharing up to 5 photos depicting “a day in the life” on your farm
  • links to at least two of your personal, public social media profiles

Applicants must be actively involved in raising pigs in the U.S. and be between the ages of 18-29 as of Jan. 1, 2019.
