Submission Instructions for 2007
Occupational Safety Training Grant Proposals
Availability of Grants:
The National Pork Board is soliciting proposals from Agricultural Safety Specialists for grants to support educational efforts directed at helping pork producers of all sizes, types and phases of production implement occupational safety training programs. The National Pork Board is especially interested in proposals that build on existing occupational safety materials, especially the National Pork Board’s Pork Production Safety System. (Pork Production Safety System materials are available by calling 800-456-PORK) Proposals should include activities and efforts that enhance existing outreach and education efforts, including but not limited to educational conferences, small group safety training, or one-on-one producer training in the community. National Pork Board funding for these grants is limited to $25,000 in total, with the anticipation of funding 1-5 proposals. Grants for greater amounts may be considered on a case-by-case basis. National Pork Board encourages the use of matching funds and/or the development of collaborative projects.
The National Pork Board has a limited amount of funds available for this grant program and applications will be considered based upon their merit.
