Pork export update: Total US pork exports in October were 169,176 MT, 1.1% higher than a year ago. The value of US pork exports in October was $448.7 million, 3% lower than last year. The data suggests that the tariff on US pork in Mexico has taken a toll on exports to our biggest pork export market. October pork exports to Mexico were 55,823 MT, 2.7% lower than a year ago. The value of US pork exports to Mexico was down 19% compared to last year, largely reflecting the discount in the ham prices. Exports to Korea have been a rare bright light for US pork exports, with October shipments at 18,382 MT, up 27.5% compared to a year ago.
