America’s pig farmers represent the very best in agriculture. The prestigious America’s Pig Farmer of the Year Award is awarded annually to the pig farmer who best demonstrates and lives by the pork industry’s We CareSM ethical principles.

“It’s important that we connect with today’s consumers about how we raise their food in an ethical and transparent way,” said National Pork Board President Derrick Sleezer, Cherokee, Iowa. “By telling agriculture’s story and putting a face on today’s pig farming, the Pig Farmer of the Year winner plays a key role in helping us reach this goal.”

Nominations are now open for the 2016 America’s Pig Farmer of the Year Award. Online applications will be accepted through March 13.  For more details, visit
