Glen Walters of Barnesville, Ga., is a partner in Walters Farms, a feeder pig-to-finish operation that markets 15,000 hogs annually. He also grazes cattle on 450 acres of winter wheat and rye.
Nationally, Walters is serving his second three-year term on the National Pork Board. He also has served as Pork Act delegate. At the state level, he has served as vice president of the Georgia Pork Producers Association and received the Governor’s Environmental Stewardship Award in 2006. He is a member of the Georgia Agri-Leaders, Georgia Cattlemen’s Association and the Georgia Army National Guard.
