Sow Housing Options

There are countless design options for housing gestating sows and each of these options have advantages and disadvantages for the gestating sow. Through years of research, several factors have been identified that can impact the success of any housing system design.

Given a number of state laws, there are a number of producers that are legally required to convert to group housing during gestation. There are a number of key decisions that producers must consider when choosing a housing system for their gestating sows.

Beginning March 2013, Pork Checkoff is hosting a series of 8 Sow Housing Webinars to highlight the range of options producers have to choose from. The webinars will provide guidance on advantages and disadvantages that will help producers make sound decisions on which housing system will be best for their animals, their facilities and their business.

REGISTER TODAY for each of the eight Sow Housing Webinars!
Each webinar will begin at 1:00 pm CST and will last 45 minutes. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions of the presenters.
